Dr. Shelley Kim

Dr. Shelley Kim is delighted to be caring for the babies, children, and adolescents at Little Five Points Pediatrics. She took the reins from Dr. Victor Polizos in July, 2018 and is thoroughly enjoying the patients, families, residents, and local businesses in Little Five Points.

Dr. Kim has extensive experience as a pediatrician in a variety of clinical settings. Most recently, Dr. Kim, worked for Mercy Care,  an Atlanta-based organization that provides healthcare for the homeless and uninsured. Dr. Kim also worked in private practice at Children’s Medicine in Buford, GA. Prior to moving to Georgia, she worked at Chelsea Pediatrics from 1997-2003 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Kim is originally from Texas and graduated from from Baylor University and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

In addition to her professional life, Dr. Kim has also been busy raising her 5 daughters with husband, Dennis.  Dennis Kim, MD, PhD is also a physician specializing in pediatric cardiology at Egleston Hospital. The Kim’s two oldest daughters currently attend Georgia Tech, while the youngest 3 girls are still at home creating a steady stream of laundry, menu requests, and carpool demands. The Kim family is rounded out by Lucy and Scout – the best dogs ever!

When not practicing pediatrics or caring for her family, Dr. Kim enjoys watching and participating in sporting events, working in her yard, and reading mystery books.
